To fulfill our responsibilities, we seek a diverse Board composed of directors passionate about ALDEA’s mission and who, collectively, have a wealth of relevant expertise and experience.
The major responsibilities of the Board of Directors of ALDEA are to shape the mission and strategic direction of the organization, participate actively in fundraising and development activities, ensure ALDEA has appropriate leadership, and exercise fiduciary responsibilities related to the operations of the organization.
There are numerous benefits to serving on the Board. Most important is the ability to contribute to an organization and program that reduces chronic childhood malnutrition in indigenous communities in rural Guatemala. Other benefits include the opportunity to share your knowledge and skills through the work of committees and special tasks, as well as to develop friendships with others who also are passionate about the work of ALDEA.
