Board member and gifted writer Dick Luecke did the impossible: He pulled together the scattered writings of Doc and made them into a real book, which included writings of others whose work either was influenced by Doc or whose work intersected with his. For years, one of the litanies Doc heard was, “When will you write the Behrhorst story?” He never really did, completely, but Dick pulled together the best of what Doc had written in articles and letters.
